New licensed leagues

Although PES 2019 lost the Europa League and UEFA Champions League licenses, there are some new licenses to be excited about. They include Swiss Super League, Russian Super League, Danish Superliga, Primera Division, Scottish Premiership, Belgian Pro League, and Portugal’s Liga NOS. This gives you the ability to control world-class players.


Match length


Although the pace isn’t very slow, the competition between teams means that games can turn into “turgid affairs” frequently. The allocated five-minute “halves” aren’t enough to deliver great goals. Extending this duration is advisable to give your players more resting time. The game mimics real-life occurrences which means players will get tired towards the end.


Improve the Master league


The major change in the master league is seen when you turn on the game and you’re allowed to choose between classic and challenge modes. The classic mode doesn’t have any challenges and is still the same. Advanced instructions have options like rotating wingers, attacking full-backs and deep defense lines among others. Copy these on the directional buttons to make them easier to activate as you play. Defending the low cross


It’s not a secret that the AI loves low crosses. To stop some of them, try crowning the player on the wing, showing each winger inside and getting assistance from a nearby defender. The latter can be done by holding X and R1.


Practice


Starting the game can be a little difficult especially if you’ve never tried PES 2019 before. Practicing is the only way to overcome these challenges. Through training, you will work on different drills without feeling any pressure. You can use volleys challenges or advanced headers especially if you’re training for attacking scenarios. Don’t be afraid to use a “less technical side”. This will help you tackle better players better.


Get PS4 and PC if you want real kits


The current PES 2019 doesn’t have real kits, badges, and names on all platforms. If you want these, don’t buy the game on Xbox one but opt for either PC or PS4. It is believed that these will be available on the platform in the future but exactly when that will happen remains unknown


Free kicks are dangerous


Taking free kicks has always been challenging for most people but PES 2019 seems to have improved on that. Try swerving the ball away from the goal keeper’s reach but over the wall. Your aim should fill up two-thirds of the power bar. This will get you from average to great within a short period.
