FIFA 20 Update - NovaGames

The fifth update to FIFA 20, also known as FIFA 20 patch 1.06, is now available to all users and will download to your PC or console the next time the game’s accessed online. All new additions and alterations are explained in the update notes.

Although gamers complain that the patch has made gameplay much slower, Electronic Arts’ offical patch notes claim it aimed to affect gameplay balance rather than game speed. This patch attempts to make game mechanics more realistic by: reducing the success rates of passes from odd angles; making first-time shots outside the box less effective; and by making team priorities during strategy execution more realistic. It also removes a glitch where the player could predict which way an AI goalkeeper was going to dive, based on previous animations. Other update fixes include: tweaking the spot kick aiming crosshairs; a slight increasing of the success rate of standing tackles; improving goalkeeper intelligence; and the elimination of a ball-through-goal post bug. Erroneous commentary about the prior season has been removed. You can now skip pre-game cut-scenes. Also, some pro-creation issues have been corrected/improved. The “totally black shoe” bug has been fixed. The maximum height for a pro has been changed to 6’9″.


Ultimate Team Mode Updates


Removed the Quick Substitution prompt when playing with the ‘Swaps’ house rule. Position modifier cards have also been fixed to display correctly. Volta mode settings no longer appear to transfer into Ultimate Team mode. Also, FIFA Point options no longer display the incorrect currency.
