Although there aren’t any restrictions with this formation, you need to ensure you have at least one midfielder who can defend. When it comes to using Advanced Instructions, turn off all defensive features but switch on Centring Targets. Keep it simple with this formation. Allow your players to do what they are best at. Defenders should defend. Attackers should attack.

3-2-4-1

Although this formation is rarely used in real life, it works well in PES 2019. It allows you to have a strong defense as well as attackers especially if you use the wide midfielders. Make sure the midfielders are fast since the formation mostly depends on them. They should be able to move around quickly to open the opposition. The team should also be able to pass the ball well to hold the possession. Use Wing Rotations under Advanced Instructions. It will allow your wide midfielders to do their job properly.
